Operating at the new time of 9.30am to 1.30pm coin and stamp club members were on hand to offer advice on anything brought in at the Orange Cultural Centre.
Club publicity officer Howard Lyons said he was kept busy throughout the morning giving advice, fielding inquiries and selling items such as coin or stamp pages for collectors’ books.
“It’s basically just about giving advice to collectors,” Mr Lyons said.
“We had a very busy day, a lot of people came in with pennies and threepence and things they found in the bottom of the draw.
“We never get to see anything exciting [at the small shows], it’s the same thing all the time.”
However, he said there is a bigger show coming up in April with the Coin and Stamp Club Expo taking place at Kenna Hall on April 9 and 10.
