A FIRE in a shed in Waratah Avenue threatened to destroy a nearby garage on Saturday night.
When fire crews attended the scene at 4 Waratah Avenue the shed was engulfed in flames. The blaze destroyed a motorbike and car in the shed.
Embers spread to a neighbour’s garage but firefighters were able to prevent the garage from catching alight.
It took fire crews about 30 minutes to douse the flames.
Canobolas Local Area Command Acting Inspector Mick White said the fire was not suspicious.
“There was a fire investigation and they found no forced entry and no accelerant,” he said.
Inspector White said forensics services attended the scene yesterday morning and confirmed the fire was not deliberately lit.
