We only have to look at how our homes have become “fortresses”, with security services in most towns and cities.
The same can be said for the CBD area in towns and cities, with security personnel in arcades and large stores, and of course the ever-growing number of security cameras throughout the CBD.
What has brought about this sad state of affairs?
That’s a question that probably has many, varied answers.
P.S. The threat of terrorism might also be seen as part of our changing society and, unfortunately, that’s a topic likely to be discussed for some time into the future.
Sadly, world peace seems as elusive as ever.
