Get on your bike for some fun this weekend

CYCLING: Bike week might be coming to a close but there are still plenty of things you can do this weekend.

If you’d like a leisurely start to your Saturday morning, there will be the Community Bike Ride and Treasure Hunt from 10.30am today.

Riders will meet at Cootes Access Centre on Oxley Place in Glenroi for the ride.

For something more challenging this afternoon, the Forest Reefs time trial will be held for riders wanting to test themselves.

Riders should meet at the Forest Reefs Pub carpark at 2.15pm for the 18km time trial.

The Central West Off Road Bicycle Club has a mountain bike ride at Kinross Forest.

Meet at the entrance to the forest on Bulgas Road at 9.30am for a 10am start.

Another option on Sunday morning is the CSU and BUG orienteering ride.

The ride will start at 11am, is around 15km and will take between 1.5 to two hours at an easy pace.

It is suitable for all bicycles and riders should meet at the CSU Cellar Door.
