Around 6pm on Monday, August 13, I collapsed at work and the Orange Ambulance Service was summoned and arrived very quickly.
Around 6pm on Monday, August 13, I collapsed at work and the Orange Ambulance Service was summoned and arrived very quickly. They stabilised me and conveyed me to the Orange Health Service casualty department.
There I was tested, assessed and operated on by Dr David Amos at 3am Tuesday morning. Later that afternoon I was flown to Sydney by air ambulance for a further operation.
The care, the efficiency, the sheer professionalism of everybody with whom I came in contact, was outstanding. The doctors and staff at Orange Health Service in particular.
We are so fortunate in Orange to have such health facilities on our doorstep.
To say thank you in the circumstances seems paltry, I owe you all so much. I owe you my life.
I would also like to take the opportunity to express my gratitude to and appreciation of the many people who have asked after my health and wished me a speedy recovery.
