BEAUTIFUL MUSIC: Sisters Lucy, Isabelle and Phoebe Clarke-Randazzo will perform at Friday's strings fundraiser concert at the Orange Regional Conservatorium.
THE beautiful sounds of stringed instruments by sisters Lucy, Isabelle and Phoebe Clarke-Randazzo will feature at a fundraising concert this Friday.
The St Mary’s Primary School students will take part in a program where a Orange Regional Conservatorium (ORC) music tutor comes to their school and teaches 40 kids in stringed instruments.
The sisters, along with other performers, will play at the conservatorium this Friday to raise vital funds to purchase and maintain student instruments.
Eldest sister Lucy, 11, has played the violin since she was four years old and said she was looking forward to playing at the concert.
“Life would be just boring without it,” she said.
Cello player and middle sister Isabelle, 10, agreed she couldn’t live without music.
Youngest sister Phoebe, 5, has only been playing violin for one year but will make up the trio at the concert.
The girls will busk as the crowds enter the conservatorium followed by an on stage performance later in the evening.
ORC strings tutor Katherine Moses said hundreds of school students across Orange take part in their music classes.
Ms Moses said funds from the event would ensure students continued to have instruments to play with during their tutoring sessions at their school.
The concert fundraiser will also feature performances by staff including Doreen Cumming, Alina Zborowski, Katherine Moses, Ana Castillo and Donna Riles.
Kinross Wolaroi School HSC students Elin Williams will perform a piece of music she has composed that was written for a quartet as a premier performance at the concert.
The strings fundraiser concert will be held at the Orange Regional Conservatorium on Friday from 5.30pm.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for concession and children aged under 16 are free.
