SKYE and Alice Haigh are one of four sets of twins at Kinross Wolaroi School sitting the Higher School Certificate (HSC).
Skye and Alice said the best part about being a twin at school was there was someone there to ease the pressure.
Skye said it was good having someone who understands when she’s stressed.
“You know the other person completely,” she said.
“You can pick up things from the other.
“They get exactly what you’re going through.”
Despite being twins, they don’t have much in common. The only subject the girls share is art.
They came up with the same concept for their major works.
“We both wanted to do culture,” Alice said.
“But then we went away and did stuff that was completely different.”
Both girls topped the grade in the trial exams for art.
They said their answers were completely different.
“I think the teachers had to check our answers a few times,” Skye said.
The girls are borders at the school. They come from Trangie and after their exams they plan to go back to the family farm to help out their dad.
After that they’ll go their separate ways for a year.
The girls haven’t been away from each other but aren’t worried about separation.
“We’ll do similar things and we might meet up along the way,” Skye said.
Alice said the girls will probably check in with each other.
Skye plans to go to university to study engineering. Alice is undecided but has thoughts of becoming an architect.
HSC exams start October 15.
