A duck was spotted by Central Western Daily photographer Jude Keogh on a footpath on Sampson Street on Wednesday, trailed by 19 ducklings.
Despite the size of the group, each of them managed to cross Kite Street safely due to courteous drivers.
WIRES rescue volunteer and carer Mel Ross said she had rescued a mother duck with 10 ducklings from underneath a caravan in west Orange last week and they seemed to join with another brood when she released them in the park.
“They all kind of swam off together, so there were 18-20 altogether,” she said.
She encouraged people to take care around the fledglings.
“Definitely slow down if you seen them on the road, or coax them off the road,” she said.
Ms Ross also advised people to call WIRES on 1300 094 737 for rescue help and advice if they saw wildlife in need of assistance.
