The three-day show, which kicks off today at the Canobolas Rural Technology High School, is being run by the Colour City Quilters and Loose Threads and will primarily showcase the work of quilters from the Orange and Molong area.
“There will be around 60 quilts of display with a mixture of different styles from traditional through to modern and hand pieced,” Mrs Betts said.
Mrs Betts said quilting was a fantastic hobby for people wanting to express themselves creatively using fabric.
Money raised via a quilt raffle and $5 entrance fee will be donated to the Central West branch of the special olympics to be used to help sportspeople with intellectual disabilities compete in sporting events.
The show runs from 10am until 4pm until Monday and visitors are asked to entre the hall via the Lone Pine Avenue entrance.
