In a surprise finish to the election race two current councillors, all but ruled out of the running, have secured a spot on Orange City Council.
Cr Chris Gryllis and Cr Jeff Whitton made it in at number 11 and number 12 respectively.
The other two positions up for grabs were taken by Ron Gander and former Cabonne councillor Kevin Duffy.
As predicted Russell Turner topped the final order and brought in two group members Scott Munro and Ash Brown.
Outgoing mayor John Davis will be joined by number two on his ticket Cr Jason Hamling.Councillors Reg Kidd, Glenn Taylor, and Neil Jones will also stay on for another term.
