Early bird tickets were released on Tuesday and within five minutes, all 1000 pre-sale tickets for the festival on December 5 had sold out.
“We cannot believe the astonishing response to the early bird ticket sales,” festival organiser Matt Clifton said.
“The pre-sale ticket allocation sold out in minutes which is a great indication of the numbers we can expect at Vanfest this year.” General release tickets officially went on sale yesterday for the festival which will be headlined by John Butler Trio and Birds of Tokyo and supported by big-name bands such as Illy, Sticky Fingers, Sheppard, Bootleg Rascal, DJ Stacie Todd and Twin Fires.
“We recommend getting in quick with the general release, there is a maximum ticket allocation this year, if we sell out, we sell out,” Matt said.
General tickets cost $79 and VIP tickets as well as camping and transport bookings will be made available soon.
Festival-goers should also get excited for what organisers are calling a “big announcement” to be publicised next week.
