The directory is a 48-page guide to help residents and visitors access information about services and community groups within the two local government areas.
There are hundreds of categorised listings of businesses and community groups under specific themes including accommodation, family and children’s services, education, environment and conservation, emergency services, health, leisure activity and sporting groups.
Orange City Council services committee chair, councillor Ron Gander commended the launch of this year’s edition.
“I’m pleased to see the latest edition of the community guide. It’s a valuable resource both for newcomers to town and long-term local residents,” Cr Gander said.
“Staff in the Community Information and Services Centre in Kite Street and the visitors centre say that the guide is regularly in demand. Whether you’re a new resident and you want to find out more about childcare options, or you’re a long-term resident with elderly parents who are starting to need extra support, the community guide has a wealth of useful information.”
You can get your copy of the directory booklet at the Central Western Daily, Community Information and Services Centre, Visitor Information Centre, HACC Centre and the Aboriginal Medical Service as well as in various businesses throughout the city.
