It must be hard to be over two metres tall and still be classified as short. But that is exactly what happened to Oklahoma City Thunder's NBA star Enes Kanter when he stood toe-to-toe with the world's tallest man.

Kanter, hailing from Turkey, met his countryman Sultan Kosen on the weekend. Kanter measures up at 2.10m with Kosen dwarfing him at 2.51m.

The two came together for the grand opening of the Fulton Science Academy in Atlanta.
Kanter, amused at his newfound position as only the second-tallest man in the room, suggested that the Thunder sign Kosen for the upcoming NBA season. The tallest NBA players in history were only 2.31m, mere munchkins compared to the gigantic Kosen.

Kosen in fact did have a brief basketball career as a youth, but medical problems prevented him from progressing in the game. He became the world's tallest man in 2009, and is the only man alive over 8 feet tall (2.43m).
The tallest man in recorded history is Robert Wadlow at 2.72m. The Guiness World Records "only knows of 10 confirmed or reliable cases in history" of people over 8 feet tall, making this a very large story to tell for those who witnessed the two Turkish giants meet.
It just goes to show that even if you're in the NBA and over two metres tall, there's still someone bigger than you.
