Even their dirt roads are better than our goat tracks of roads.
Travelling the so-called bypass is getting to be a real nightmare. Dodging potholes is common place.
I suggest everybody starts to drive through town again as you have less chance of damaging your vehicles from flicking stones and falling in potholes.
I cannot believe our mayor John Davis had the nerve to say he was sick of the complaints about this road. Well, maybe if the engineers got it right in the first place this would not be happening.
The opportunity was there in the beginning to build the road to a high standard as there was no through traffic to slow the construction, so how was it built so wrong.
Don’t say changing weather patterns because Orange has always had rain and cold weather, and that hasn’t changed.
I suggest the engineers got it wrong in a big way and should be held accountable for their stuff-up.
So much of our rate money is wasted by councils, maybe a little more thought should be put into projects so that they are done right from the word go, or employ people who actually know what they are doing.
No more excuses.
