To think that around one in five Orange drivers could be under the influence of illegal drugs certainly isn’t a comforting or reassuring thought when driving a vehicle or riding a bike (or being a pedestrian for that matter!).

Your recent editorial on this disturbing issue is very timely (“Drug-drivers are bloody idiots”; Central Western Daily, August 14). 

I would have thought that “bloody idiots” was certainly the most positive name you could give to drug-drivers!

P.S. In my opinion, one of the frustrating aspects of many people trying to come to terms with climate change is the lack of understanding between the words “weather” and “climate”. There obviously is a difference, and it’s important to understand that difference.
