Mr Munro said he would be offering a full range of meat, most of it purchased from local growers.
Mr Munro sold his North Orange butchery in February and decided to leave his butchery days behind him.
“After a holiday I got itchy feet and decided to grab this opportunity,” he said.
“Orange is a great place, there are opportunities everywhere.”
Mr Munro said he had an amazing response to his plan to reopen Summer Centre Quality Meats.
“The most important thing we offer is quality service and a lot of people like to have a yarn to the butcher about how to cook the meat,” he said.
Gosling Creek Aged Care recognised:
GOSLING Creek Aged Care has been nominated in the seniors aged care living category in this year’s NSW and ACT Urban Development Institute of Australia Meriton awards for excellence.
The Orange aged-care facility is one of four care providers nominated in the category, with the winner to be announced at an event in Sydney on August 14.
UDIA NSW Chief Executive Stephen Albin said each year the competition was tough and this year was no exception, with almost 120 finalists across 15 categories.
“The judges have been travelling all over NSW and the ACT to assess projects and determine the finalists for the awards,” he said.
“These awards are the most sought-after prize in the NSW and ACT urban property sector because of the incredibly high calibre of entries and this year is no exception.”
Now in their 21st year, the awards showcase the outstanding contribution developers, architects, engineers, councils, government agencies and planners make to the industry.

“In the past 12 months alone we have assisted over 2800 people through both accredited and non-accredited training.”
