The report on the welfare of approximately 200 cats living on a Canimbla Road property will be submitted to Cowra councillors at their next Ordinary Meeting on Monday, July 27.
Neighbour Marjorie Riley has welcomed the news of the report’s impending release.
She says she hopes its findings will improve the quality of life for the animals and for surrounding residents - and be enforceable.
“I’m hoping the report will assist Council in implementing changes,” she said.
Meanwhile, nothing, in her opinion, appears to have changed at Camp Kitty.
“The rubbish is still piling up, the odour is still there,” Ms Riley said.
“At the end of the day, I don’t want to deprive [property owner Richard McCudden] of his cats and home but I don’t want the rubbish, the odour and to see the animals huddling for warmth in the wet and cold.”
