Shocked business owner locked out

AFTERSHOCK Records owner Phil Williams has used Facebook to tell his customers he has been locked out of the Lords Place business due to a dispute with his landlord.

In his post yesterday morning, Mr Williams asked his customers to be patient as he searched for new premises.

Mr Williams operated an independent recording label supporting local musicians and performers.

He said he was unable to access to the building to get his musical instruments and stock associated with the business.

His Sydney-based lawyer said the matter has been referred to the Department of Fair Trading for mediation.

Mr Williams also used social media to say the last two days had been the most stressful and mentally exhausting he had ever experienced.

“Unfortunately the owner of the building is refusing to speak to myself or my lawyer,” he said.

Mr Williams would not identify the landlord.
