Superheroes, puppies, farmers and firemen featured in the annual book parade at Orange Christian School yesterday.
The event is a culmination of literacy week celebrations which involved students across all years at the school.
Orange Christian School principal’s assistant Cath Lawrence said it was a wonderful parade with children in prep to year 12 involved.
“Students came dressed as a character from a book in our library,” she said.
Ms Lawrence said the book parade is always a popular event and it encourages students to dress up as their favourite character.
A range of activities were held throughout the school’s literacy week including a literacy evening with poetry readings along with a debate and theatre sports among the school’s senior students
“It’s promoting literacy, education, the enjoyment of reading and all things English,” she said.
