Each year Bathurst, Orange and Dubbo high schools compete for supremacy in tennis, netball, basketball, hockey, rugby league, athletics and football (plus debating), and the chance to have bragging rights for the next 12 months.
Follow our rolling coverage of the Astley cup during the day as Dubbo host Bathurst in the third tie of the competition.
Dubbo College students Nathan Hawkes, Sarah Toohey and Sam Read will be reporting from the grounds each day.
We will also have Daily Liberal reporters and photographers bringing you news throughout the competition.
Congratulations Bathurst High School - 2015 Astley Cup winners!
3.30pm: Dubbo have won in the final challenge of the 2015 Astley Cup with a 48-29 win over Bathurst in the Basketball this afternoon.
3.06pm: From the Western Advocate ...
3pm: Over at the Baskball and we have a half time score of 15-18 to Bathurst.
2.22pm: A win for Dubbo in the netball with a final score of 54-43.
1.58pm: Dubbo continue to lead in the netball at the end of the third quarter with a score of 41-31.
1.46pm: Dubbo is winning the netball 30-18 at half-time.
1.17pm: Heading over to the Netball now, and at quarter time Dubbo is in the lead 17-10, it is shaping up to be a very close game.

The 2015 Mulvey Cup goes to Orange High School
12.41pm: Spectators watch on as Dubbo takes victory in the boys relay as well.
12.15pm: Dubbo has taken first, second and third in the boys 400 metres, and after a short discussion the Dubbo Girls have taken out their relay.
Across in the Mulvey Cup Bathurst have won with a very close score. The debate was adjudicated by Helen Hedger.
11.16am: The Mulvey Cup debate is starting a little late - we should be underway very soon.
Over at the Athletics Dubbo have taken first in the boys 1500m race.
10.36am: And Bathurst have won the Hockey with a final score of 14-0 over Dubbo College.
The points convert to 94-6 for the cup.
10.30am: Bathurst have scored again at the Hockey
10.14am: With just 23 minutes to go in the hockey Bathurst are up 8-0.
10.02am: Bathurst are leading the hockey 5-0 at half-time.
9.54am: Students have gone into lock-down for the 2015 Mulvey Cup debate.
The topic for the debate is 'That corruption has undermined Australia's faith in sport'.
The debate will get underway about 10.40am this morning. Best of luck to both teams!
9am: Competition for Day 2 has started with the hockey at Pioneer Park Hockey Complex. It is expected that Bathurst will take the win in this game - but we will see.
8.30am: Welcome to our rolling coverage of Day 2 of the Astley Cup tie between Bathurst High School and Dubbo College.

4.48pm: Bathurst have won the tennis 15 sets to one, which is a score of 94-6 and they will head into day two of the competition with a 232-168 lead. If they can get 168 points from Thursday's four sports, Bathurst will take the 2015 Astley Cup. Thursday's schedule is hockey at 9.15am, followed by athletics at 10.45am, netball at 1pm before the boys basketball rounds things out at 2.30pm. Don't forget the Mulvey Cup debate will also be held on Thursday.
2.02pm: The rain continues with light falls here in Dubbo, but that isn't stopping the tennis players in the last game of the day.
1.49pm: A win for Bathurst in the boys soccer today with a final score of 5-0 to the away team.
As you can see - it was a very wet game.
1.25pm: Bathurst have scored again in the boys soccer, leading 2-0 during the second half.
1pm: Bathurst are leading in the boys soccer 1-0 at half time. It's a very wet game out there - hopefully the rain eases off a little bit soon for the players and spectators.
12.25pm: Final score from the Girls Soccer is 2-all, points will be split 50-50 for the cup.
In the Rugby League Dubbo have had a MASSIVE win with a final score of 52-0.
12.14pm: For the Dubbo College team, it's all about the spirit of the cup - and at the Rugby Dubbo College lead 40-0 with just 8 minutes to go.
12.03pm: At the Rugby League we have a half time score of 16-0 with Dubbo in the lead! Four tries have been scored, though nothing yet converted.
Over in at the girls soccer Bathurst are leading 2-1 at half time. Though we have just been informed the score is now 2-2 following a goal from Dubbo during the second half.
11.35am: A half time score from the Girls Soccer has Bathurst winning 2-1.
11.10am: Girls soccer has started and Bathurst have scored the first goal in the first five minutes of the game!
Over at the Rugby League the game has also started and Dubbo has scored in the first five minutes of the game.
10.50am: The first games of the day are about to start. Best of luck to all the students playing in the rugby league and girls soccer games today!
9am: The Mulvey Cup has been postponed until Thursday morning.
First events for day 1 will not be Rugby League and Girls Soccer at 11am.
The Bathurst High School team are quietly confident they will be giving the cup a new home.
Bathurst beat Orange High School in the first tie of the Astley Cup with a total of 434 points to 366.
Sports co-ordinator Darren Hamilton predicts his students will be able to get on top of their opponents in several sports, while a few of the others could go either way.
