A YOUNG boy has been airlifted to Sydney Children's Hospital after being struck by a forklift in Orange yesterday afternoon.
About 2pm a 39-year-old man was reversing a forklift at the Leewood Drive truck depot when he struck his six-year-old son.
Police from Canobolas Local Area Command and other emergency services were immediately contacted and attended the incident.
The boy was taken to Orange Health Service before being airlifted to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a critical condition suffering from chest and stomach injuries.
A crime scene was established and examined by forensic specialists.
Investigations are continuing.
