The flat-bed truck was travelling west on the road, just west of Borenore Public School, towing a small earth-moving machine on a trailer.
According to Canobolas Local Area Command Sergeant Griffiths, the truck's brakes locked up and it jack-knifed, with the front of the truck striking the road barrier on the eastbound side and the trailer hitting the barrier on the westbound side.
Police attended and diverted traffic until the trailer could be disconnected and both vehicles moved off the road.
Sgt Griffiths said the truck and trailer were drivable, needing no further investigation from police.
No one was injured in the incident.
Traffic was diverted via Borenore while the road was blocked.
