Karly says the sisters both have extensive experience in the hospitality industry, including managing cafes.
“We’re serving rustic seasonal food,” she said.
“A lot of the food will be made from local produce.”
While the menu at the Pickle & Fig changes from day to day, it usually includes a range of soups, pasta, salads and sandwiches.
The cafe is open from 8am to 4pm on weekdays and on Saturday mornings.
CHRISTOPHER Booth has opened an acupuncture and Chinese medicine business at Anula Healing in Kite Street.
Mr Booth says he has been in practice for the past 20 years.
He works in Sydney on Mondays and Tuesdays and in Orange on Thursdays and Fridays.
“I’m already treating people from the region including Bathurst and Wellington,” he said.
Mr Booth specialises in chronic and complex illnesses including chronic fatigue, digestive problems and mental health issues including depression.
DRAGONFLY Lounge owner Nichola Doherty celebrated 12 months of operation on May 15.
The celebrations lasted all day with plenty of cake and sweets on hand.
ORANGE Ex-Services’ Club has been given a highly commended award at the recent club and community awards hosted by Clubs NSW.
The awards are designed to highlight the work clubs throughout the state do to assist community groups and initiatives.
The Orange Ex-Services’ Club was recognised for its contribution to the Club Red Orange Rolls Up Their Sleeves and Saves 624 Lives blood donation drive.
