La Bella Advanced Skin and Laser owner Carla Poole said her initial shock soon turned to frustration when she realised just what had been stolen.
“It was mayhem, everything was everywhere ,” Ms Poole said.
Ms Poole said the thieves entered the Hampden Avenue premises via a locked window and carted away her entire range of products, including make-up and prescription-only items used to treat people with specific skin ailments.
They also stole a large amount of equipment, including a laser head that is only compatible with Ms Poole’s laser machine.
“It’s really frustrating because these things will be of no use to them,” she said.
Ms Poole suspects there were several people involved in the theft because of the large number of items that were stolen.
A washing basket was also stolen to help transport the items.
“They were in and out quickly, but they even took my cash float,” she said.
“You work so hard when you have a small business you can’t afford for this to happen.”
Ms Poole was forced to close her business for a day and frantically try and restock her products.
“The suppliers were brilliant and all our clients have been brilliant too,” she said.
Ms Poole said while she’d only been open for 18 months she wouldn’t let the theft deter her from running her own business.
“I think I was just unlucky for this to happen ... but I’m lucky because I love my job,” she said.
Ms Poole, who was insured, has now upgraded her security system and installed CCTV cameras, and she plans to hire a security company to keep an eye on the premises.
She wants anyone who hears of people selling beauty products they believe to be stolen, including Dermaviduals or Youngblood products, to contact police immediately.
