ORANGE CYMS’ league tag team will be without one of its star players for much of the 2015 season.
Tori Moore is moving to Sydney after landing a gig with the National Rugby League.
The 21-year-old starts training on Monday as an NRL Fan Relationship Management Centre consultant.
“It’s a new position they’ve brought in to increase membership and ticket sales,” Moore explained.
“I didn’t think I’d get it. I’m glad I was wrong.”
Moore, who studied exercise science and business studies at university, will undergo training at NRL headquarters before being assigned to a Sydney-based club.
She won’t know until she’s finished training which club she will work with.
She just hopes it’s not with her favourite club South Sydney.
“We don’t really get to watch the games our teams play in because we’ll be working, so I’d rather watch Souths,” she laughed.
She is moving to Sydney today and will already be on the sporting field tomorrow when she attends the Penrith touch football trials for the State Cup teams.
“I played with Penrith the last two years in State Cup,” Moore explained.
“So I know all the girls and Penrith is easy to get to when you’re in Sydney.”
Moore hasn’t ruled out coming back to play league tag with CYMS occasionally.
“The girls have told me I have to come back and play,” she said.
“I’ll come back and help out when I can.”
