THE 2012 Central West Rugby Union women's premiership title credentials of the Orange Emu Chicks goes on the line tomorrow when the Greens travel to Dubbo's Victoria Park to tackle the CSU Ewes in the preliminary final.
The Emus Chicks have limped to a degree in 2012, finishing third on the competition ladder after 12 regular season rounds with both the Grenfell Pink Panthers and the students clinching places in the top two.
And it was the Pink Panthers who claimed the first place in this year's women's decider courtesy of a 29-17 win over CSU at Pride Park last Saturday.
Emus will now take on CSU Ewes tomorrow in Dubbo with the chance to join Grenfell driving both side's to perform at their best come kick-off at 9.45am.
Before last weekend's semi-final, Emus Chicks coach Amanda Ferguson said the Ewes were an enthusiastic team which was what made them dangerous.
"CSU are a very young side and they're keen and willing to try anything. They're still developing and they're keen to learn," Ferguson said.
The grand final will be played at Pride Park on Saturday, September 15.
The Panthers will be tough to topple in the decider with Ferguson saying the side has experience as a group.
