Firefighters and police were on hand to provide free information and gave the community a chance to ask them questions.
CROWDS were not put off by chilly weather last Saturday and attended a community safety day in their hundreds.

Orange Fire and Rescue NSW firefighter Phil Pedley said it was a successful day with over 200 people asking for fire safety advice.
"It was good to see the community involved with fire safety," he said.
"It was a good couple of hours and it's good to get among the public and put the messages out there."
Mr Pedley said they gave out over 180 sample bags with fire safety information and an additional 50 fire safety pamphlets to people on the day.
"Quite a few of the kids were interested in the truck and had a sit in the driver's seat," he said.
Repco manager Rob Moxon organised the day and said he did it as a community service.
"We handed out a couple of hundred showbags and had a few people around for a couple of hours," he said.
Mr Moxon said the event was modelled off a similar event that ran in Lithgow last year.
He said he planned to make next year's day bigger and better.
