The cenotaph has been raised and paved with new steps and handrails, while additional flagpoles, a disabled ramp and two bronze statues of an infantryman and a sailor have been added.
Hundreds of people took time to admire the upgrades, including the lifelike detail incorporated into the statues by Newcastle artist Julie Squires.
Orange Anzac Day committee chairman Graeme Scott said he had all but a couple of negative comments about the upgrades.
"A far as Orange residents are concerned, they're just rapt with the new cenotaph," he said.
"We can now conduct the service up there, and there's direct access to it for wheelchairs with a ramp.
"It's just wonderful we have something so magnificent to commemorate Orange's past servicemen and women by."
