"We had the highest number of sales for an opening of any Lorna Jane store in Australia," Mrs O'Brien said.
She said Central West residents had waited a long time for the store to open, so customers were keen to purchase the products, with thermal tights and jackets proving popular.
"It's been fantastic and the (opening day) sale was brilliant, we're all very excited,” she said.
ALIVE Health took out the top award in the professional medical services field at the Australian Small Business Champion Awards gala dinner in Sydney on April 18.
The awards program recognises excellence in small businesses practices throughout Australia.
Alive Health owner and principle practitioner Alison Bennett was presented with an award statuette and certificate, and is pleased to have gained national recognition as an industry leader.
"I feel humbled and honoured to have been up against so many amazing finalists around Australia and be recognised with such a wonderful award," she said.
"I'd love to say a big thank you to my amazing staff, family and clients for making every day so enjoyable."
Precedent Productions managing director and founder of the awards Steve Loe said the awards offered a chance to recognise the efforts of small business people who contributed to the prosperity and vitality of communities across Australia.
"As a small business owner myself, I know the vision and dedication to excellence required to succeed,” he said.
“These traits have been displayed in abundance by all of our 2015 Small Business Champions.”
RAY Dally is now operating out of Caro Consultancy and Capable Kids in Woodward Street.
Mr Dally will work from the premises on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with a home clinic operating from his Taloumbi Place residence on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Mr Dally said Caro Consultancy and Capable Kids was a practice focused on psychology, speech therapy and occupational therapy, so it was a natural match to add massage to complement these fields.
"Massage is extremely beneficial in reducing stress in mental health, which can lead to muscle dysfunction, headaches and pain, and also very beneficial with the management of children's health with various problems in sensory related areas, where gentle massage can improve their attention and reduce stress and anxiety,” he said.
Mr Dally also teaches massage through Evolve College.
