Organisers estimate numbers from 12,000 to 15,000 gathered to watch the Anzac March make its way down Summer Street before attending the civil service at the cenotaph in Robertson Park on Saturday morning.
Anzac Committee chairman Graeme Scott said he was proud of the Orange community in its efforts to honour Australia's servicemen and women.
"I've never seen so many people at a service in Orange before," Mr Scott said.
"When we had World War I diggers marching, maybe there were more returned servicemen and women then, but definitely not the crowd numbers like [Saturday]."
The unprecedented crowd numbers were echoed at the Dawn Service at 5.30am, which saw 5000 people gather for the solemn ceremony.
