The combined University Roadshow will roll into town for another year to arm students with their post-school study options and promote the benefits of staying in the bush to further their education.

The Roadshow, an initiative of Charles Sturt University (CSU), Southern Cross University and the University of New England, will stop by Orange High School, Kinross Wolaroi School and James Sheahan Catholic High School.

Students from Canobolas Rural Technology High School, Canowindra High School and Molong Central School will also join the roadshow at Orange High. 

CSU prospective student adviser Fran Dwyer said the format allowed the three universities to present a broad range of study options and enabled students to learn about what regional universities offered. 

“Students gain insights into what university life is like, and the benefits of life and study at regional universities,” she said. 

Ms Dwyer added that by having the roadshow visit schools early on in the year, it provided a chance for students to start seriously considering their post-school options, scholarships they could apply for and early entry schemes. 

“It gives them the opportunity to make a choice at an early stage,” she said.
