The City of Holyroyd Brass Band will join Canberra Brass, Sydney Veterans Band of the Salvation Army and the City of Orange Brass Band as part of the celebration.
Along with the street parade at 12.30pm there will be a performance at Cook Park from 1pm with trumpets, trombones, tubas and an assortment of other brass instruments playing throughout the afternoon.
City of Orange Brass Band president Kathy Gott said the bands would also each perform a different repertoire at a concert at Orange Civic Theatre at 7.30pm on Saturday.
Ms Gott said the bands were some of the best of their kind in Australia and would keep audiences entertained with a variety of musical styles.
“It’s a brass concert but it’s in all styles. There will be traditional, but there will be a whole range of interesting things,” she said.
“One of the bands, the City of Holyroyd Brass Band is the current A-grade band and their band comprises the champion of champions tenor horn in Australia, Bell Harvey.
“She’s also the NSW champion.”
On Sunday, the celebration will include more performances in Cook Park from 9am to 4pm and hymns in the park between 10am and 11am.
Entry to the Cook Park events is free and the concert costs $25 or $18 for concession.
