HOW could Orange City Council build a pipeline that would hold water?
The swimming pool has had to be repaired twice to get it to the correct length and with enough cover to hold water, and the bypass is falling to pieces in the first week.
With council’s record the water would probably be sucked out of Suma Park.
The brief about the pipeline did not mention the the Burrendong Dam line could be used and paid for by other councils.
How much would it cost to maintain the line when, like this year, there is no need to use it. Suma Park has been over 95 per cent full or overflowing for eight months of the year.
If the pipeline is so efficient what will become of the bores and the stormwater harvesting equipment, and how much will it cost to maintain them each year they are not used?
