Brighter picture through support

ON behalf of the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, Orange and District Council, I wish to thank everyone who supported the annual Playtime photo competition held recently in the Orange City Centre.

Several business houses have assisted us over many years, our major sponsors being the Central Western Daily, Orange City Centre and Graham Schumann of Renaissance Photography. The support of Paul Blunden’s Newsagency, Regency Jewellers, Q Office Furniture, Rick’s Engraving, Donut King and Beverly Gibb is also acknowledged with thanks.

The assistance of parents who entered their children in the competition and obtained sponsorship over the years has been truly amazing. Their efforts in raising over $10,000 this year is a wonderful effort. I thank them and members of the public who voted or gave donations.

All funds raised are used to further expand programs and purchase equipment and aids for children and youth in the Orange district who suffer from cerebral palsy, many of whom have multiple disabilities.

The staff at the Cerebral Palsy Cottage at 95 Prince Street are continually expanding programs to assist families who need support.

Thank-you to all who assisted in raising funds for this important service.

Elaine Connor,

President, Cerebral Palsy Alliance,

Orange and District Council
