Retired Parkes Council general manager Alan McCormack was appointed chair.
Member for Calare John Cobb said the pair would provide a voice for issues affecting the central west.
“Alan, Reg and their selected committees will advise on priority activities that will unlock regional economic development and improve productivity of the central west region,” Mr Cobb said.
The committee is one of 55 across Australia, assisting community stakeholders to develop project proposals and direct them to appropriate funding sources.
Mr McCormack and Cr Kidd will now appoint a team of active community leaders to support them.
