About 600 students in different stages of their degrees are set to converge on Charles Sturt University’s Orange campus this year, in line with last year’s 599-strong enrolment.
According to early estimates, dentistry and physiotherapy remain consistently popular.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Andrew Vann said the faculty of science, which covers all courses offered at the Orange campus, had made the highest number of offers so far for 2015.
“The most popular courses for 2015 reflect regional Australia’s broader need for health care professionals,” he said.
“CSU graduates in these areas will be able to readily support the growing needs of their region.”
Distance education students are expected to reach 480-500, however, numbers have fluctuated between the 480 and 540 marks from year to year, with no clear trend.
First-year students are guaranteed accommodation on campus, with 382 rooms available to students in total, with a mix of ensuite, one-bedroom apartments and single non-ensuite rooms.
Students wanting to live off-campus will be offered support and the university website holds a list of off-campus accommodation on offer, however, it is not managed by the university.
CSU students can call 1800 334 733 for more information on courses and accommodation.
