THE Slattery and Radburn family names have long been synonymous with basketball in Orange, but thanks to members of both families being selected for NSW last year the focus has shifted to netball.

Adam Slattery along with Cameron and Adam Radburn will all represent NSW at the 2015 Australian Mixed and Men's Netball Association National Championships in Sydney from April 3-10, in opens, under 23s and under 19s respectively.
Slattery and Cameron Radburn will return to sky blue after playing at last year's tournament, while Adam Radburn earned his first NSW cap after thoroughly impressing at trials last November.
"It's pretty exciting for all of us," Slattery, who captained NSW under 23s in 2014, said.
"I really pushed Cameron to get involved last year, and he's back this year and it's great to see Adam get picked as well.
"We need more young males playing in NSW."
NSW will compete with Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia across all three divisions and Slattery said the sky blues are short odds to bring home the treble.
"I think the 23s have it, I think they'll definitely win it this year," Slattery said.
"From what I've seen the 19s are young, but talented. They will have a tough time beating Victoria, who are a powerhouse, but they're a good chance and I think for us, if we can make it to the grand final we're a real hope."
National sides will be picked for all three divisions after the championships and Slattery, who also skippered the Australian 23s in 2014, is confident he and the two Radburns have the potential to be named in the 2015 sides.
"Adam is a runner, and I know he can jump," Slattery explained.
"If he controls those two factors and plays well then I know he'll be a chance and to be frank, I think Cameron should make it.
"He missed out last year in the 23s because we had so many defenders, but he should at least be a very, very good shot at making it this year. I'd love to get picked in the opens too."
