Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak members will judge the winner from the top five for the $15,000 project donated by Peter O’Brien Constructions.
Owner Peter O’Brien was shocked by the response.
“I’m surprised by the amount of nominations, it’s a lot of support, we didn’t know what projects we were going to get and it was very interesting to see what projects came to the table and it was good to hear people’s stories and situations and what a difference it can make, especially at this time of year,” Mr O’Brien said.
In the running are Ben and Jemimah Read with 32.48 per cent supporting them to build a home for their special needs triplets.
Matt Knott has 32.66 per cent of the vote to help finish renovations following a family tragedy.
With more than 4 per cent of the vote each are Leanne Thomson for a swimming pool and fence for her six children, RSPCA Orange for improvements to its training and exercise yard and NSW HPV Racing, Orange Cycle and Triathlon Club.
The winner will be announced in the Central Western Daily on Christmas Eve.
