Held at the Orange Function Centre, the Central West Disability Expo will bring a range of services and the latest technology to people in Orange and its surrounding area so they can get the information they need without having to travel to Sydney.
With more than 40 stalls available, the expo will showcase a variety of wheelchairs, mobility buses and adaptive technology, with hands-on trials available.
There will also be a diverse range of support services and organisations attending, covering education and training, employment, accommodation, mental health, sport, leisure and entertainment.
The expo is being run by representatives from eight disability service providers including Wangarang Industries, Orange City Council, The Cerebral Palsy Alliance, CareWest Ability Links, Department of Education and Communities, Ageing and Disability and Home Care.
Expo committee media coordinator Tamara Pearson said this was the fifth year for the expo, which usually attracted between 350 and 500 people from across the region.
She said by having representatives from the eight groups they would also be able to bring different ideas, points of view and roles to setting up the expo.
The free expo will take place from 10am to 4pm on Thursday.
