The winners will be be announced on Friday, November 28.
The finalists included Geolyse for the excellence in business award, Dr Alison Bennett from Spine Alive in the business leader (36+) category and Six Chickens (Novus Res) for the excellence in innovation award.
Geolyse general manager Greg Cooper said he was delighted to be listed alongside some of the most innovative and progressive companies in NSW.
“To be a finalist in the excellence in business category is an honour and acknowledges our great team and quality of service we provide,” he said.
“Many of our clients may come to us for one area of a project and then utilise one of our other services, which provides a holistic and cost-effective solution to their development needs.”
Geolyse, which provides services for civil, structural and environmental engineering, planning, surveying, architecture and the environment, celebrated its 25th anniversary in June.
Fellow Orange nominee Dr Alison Bennett has been running her chiropractic business Spine Alive for almost eight years and was thrilled to be nominated for the state award for the first time.
“I’m super excited that we’re up for the state award, I’m up against some amazing businesses,” she said.
Orange-based trade website Six Chickens is also up for an innovation award.
Businesses founder Matthew Wilson said he started the business almost four years ago after he tried to build a rustic chicken coop for six chickens he had bought, but was unable to source local supplies online, so he decided to start his own version marketed solely for people in country NSW.
