The 22-year-old was granted a section 10 bond in March, by magistrate Terry Lucas, In Orange Local Court for possession of illicit drugs.
The bond meant he had to be of good behaviour for one year but there would be no conviction on his record.
Mr Lucas said he felt like he had been let down by the Mahogany Circuit resident.
“How could you be this silly and this stupid? I have no idea what was going through your head,” he told Molloy on Thursday.
Police facts said officers observed Molloy run out of a “known drug premises” in Barrett Street and jump into the passenger seat of a car.
Police then pulled the car over and searched the vehicle.
After initially denying he had any drugs he became “emotional and admitted he had purchased the drug from the known male in Barrett Street”.
His solicitor Mason Manwaring said he was no longer using illicit substances.
“He has no doubt that if he comes back before the court, no doubt, he’ll go to jail,” Mr Manwaring said.
But either way he knows he will leave here with a conviction.”
Mr Lucas fined him $1000.
“If you want to loose part of your life to jail, not to mention the damage you are doing to your body who am I to stop you,” Mr Lucas said.
