Ying Shi Chang, Sydney Dunn, Leanne Ziola and Rhyss Kearns have all been named by the Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak as people deserving of Rotary’s “Pride of Workmanship” awards.
All four were presented with their plaques and certificates at a breakfast meeting of the club on Wednesday morning at the Oriana Motor Inn.
The Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak presented “Pride of Workmanship” awards to Dr Ying Shi Chang for her dentistry skills and in particular her work with young children and the disabled.
Sydney Dunn, from Stratco, was recognised for his work with his customers on steel deliveries.
Leanne Ziola was honoured for services to hairdressing, and Rhyss Kearns of Bills Beans has received an award for his enthusiasm and great customer service at Factory Espresso.
One of the employers of the people honoured with the awards, Factory Espresso owner Lisa Parianos, said she was thrilled Mr Kearns was acknowledged by the club.
“Rhys puts absolutely everything in to his work and we are not only proud to have him work for us, but to see him presented with this award,” Ms Parianos said.
Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak president Lynette Bullen said the Pride of Workmanship Award is designed to acknowledge an employee, irrespective of age or vocation, who in the eyes of his or her employer displays outstanding qualities in terms of approach, attitude, dedication and commitment to his or her job.
“The Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak congratulates all winners on a job well done,” Ms Bullen said.
