With feverish preparation under their belts, Blayney’s Lachlan Robertson, Bryce Ipon-Hickson, Aaron Bathe, Dylan McNabb and Scott McGlashin, and Carcoar’s Candice Milne will compete in tomorrow’s qualifying events, looking to secure a spot in Sunday’s finals.
The nation-wide competition acts as a qualifying event for the 2015 International Federation of Martial Arts (IFMA) World Championships in Brazil - the ultimate goal for all six fighters.
Robertson will be fighting in the 15, 16 and 17 years junior welterweight division (63.5 - 67kg), as will McGlashin.
Ipon-Hickson is set to compete in the eight and nine years tykes division (30kg), while Bathe and McNabb will battle it out in the senior light welterweight (60-63.5kg) and senior welterweight (63.5-67kg) categories respectively.
Fourteen-year-old Milne will compete in the 12, 13 and 14 years cadets division (54kg).
All six fighters are expected to resume training immediately on return in preparation for the Conquest 6 fight night on November 29, in Blayney.
