I was one of the “non-expert” residents who thought that a pipeline to Lake Rowlands was a better option, based on information available at the time.
The main concern that I continue to have with the Macquarie pipeline relates to the impact that climate change is having - and will have - on rainfall patterns in our area.
A significant decline in rainfall will obviously have an impact on the flow of the Macquarie River.
Let’s hope that this has been accurately factored in to planning for the current project. Fingers crossed!
