The restaurant and its staff were put through their paces during a test run ahead of the opening today.
Operator Todd Bryant said he was overwhelmed by the response from invited guests.
“We were expecting about 100 people and there turned out to be around 200, so my wife Karen and I are absolutely thrilled,” he said.
Mr Bryant is pleased the North Orange McDonald’s is offering job opportunities in the city.
“We’ve employed 120 staff,” he said.
“They range in age from high school students right through to people in their 50s and 60s,” he said.
Age was no barrier to employment, according to Mr Bryant.
“We just wanted to get the best people possible,” he said.
Mr Bryant said the kitchen was fully staffed on Monday night to see the wheels in motion at the new restaurant.
“Everyone was very impressed, so it’s a good feeling,” he said.
He said all inspections of the new facility have been carried out by Orange City Council.
“We are just waiting on a final certificate and we are ready to go,” he said.
Orange’s newest McDonalds will operate 24-hours a day.
