The Life Studio wing defence took out the MVP award after her team lost Saturday’s Orange Toyota Cup grand final 52-44.
The award was judged by the Orange Netball Association division one coaches who didn’t have a team in the decider.
Beer was happy to take out the honour.
“It was nice. It was nice to know I did a good job,” she said.
Beer played out a great battle in the centre-court, coming up against players like Tegan Dray, Lauren Williams and Shannen Downer, and was able to grab a couple of turnovers.
While happy to be named MVP, Beer was disappointed Life Studio didn’t win the big prize.
“It was a tough game. In the second half we felt a lot more confident in the way we were playing,” she explained.
“In the last quarter, we just didn’t execute.”
Beer has come back from more than one injury this season and said it was great to be able to play in the grand final.
And because Life Studio didn’t take out the 2014 title, you’re likely to see her back on court next year.
“I don’t like losing,” she said.
“I would like to say yes, but it’s only injuries which would keep me from playing again next year.”
