Mrs Clarke, 27, was diagnosed with terminal secondary liver cancer in August and is fighting for time to spend with her husband Ben and five-year-old daughter Nyah.
Massage therapist Angela Slattery is hosting the trivia night at the Canowindra Services and Citizens’ Club and is calling for members of the community to show their support of the young family.
She said the evening is being held to help raise awareness and funds for Lyndsey, Ben and Nyah to give them less to worry about as the years go by.
“You can participate in our trivia night by purchasing a ticket and attending or by donating goods and services to be auction items on the night, even the smallest thing will not go unnoticed,” Ms Slattery said
Mrs Clarke has started chemotherapy to help fight the cancer, but more help is needed to ease the family’s financial worries and allow Mr Clarke to take time off work to support his wife and daughter.
Mrs Clarke wishes to spend every precious moment with Nyah.
Ms Slattery explains that when Ms Clarke is feeling well enough she has been recording bedtime stories and writing birthday cards for Nyah to have and cherish as she grows.
“The whole aim is to raise money so Ben can afford to spend time with Lyndsey and not have to worry about medical expenses, and the remainder of what is donated will be put in to trust funds for Nyah,” Ms Slattery said.
Around 100 people are expected to attend the evening and Ms Slattery said that everyone is welcome to come and show their support.
