The two sides have met four times so far this season, for two Tigers’ wins and two Giants victories - the latter includes a three-point win in a major semi-final nail-biter two weeks ago.
Orange Tigers coach Nathan Pearce said regular season results count for little come finals time, but the venue could play a huge role.
In all four games so far in 2014 the home side is yet to lose, and ominously for the Tigers, tomorrow’s decider will be at Bathurst’s George Park.
“They seem to play much better at George Park than we do, which makes sense to a degree,” Pearce said.
“There has been really good competition between these two sides so far this season, and we can expect another big clash.
“We had a couple of guys missing from our major semi-final, and they’re back, so we’re in pretty good stead.
“I think with the strength of both team’s ruck, speed from the middle will be the key factor. If we get clean ball from the centre, our forward line should run away with it. If they get clean ball, they could kick on as well.”
The Tigers’ under 15 side will also play in its grand final on Sunday, also taking on the Bathurst Giants.
However, the Tiger cubs will go into the clash as firm underdogs having not beaten the Giants at all in 2014.
The two sides have clashed four times this season with the Giants securing comprehensive wins by 83, 21, 26 and 69 points.
Orange does bring good form into the decider though after winning last week’s preliminary final over Cowra Blues by 100 points.
Both games will be played at George Park, with first bounces at 10am and 11.30am in the 12s and 15s respectively.
