Taste Orange’s executive officer Rhonda Sear had ice and cold water poured over her at lunchtime on Wednesday after being challenged by member for Orange Andrew Gee earlier that morning.
The social media campaign began in the US to raise money for people living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which is known as motor neurone disease (MND) in Australia.
It challenges people to donate money to MND Australia or have a bucket of ice and cold water tipped over their heads and then nominate three others to do so.
“I’ll be donating money as well for the cause,” Ms Sear said.

“My partner was challenged yesterday and he had a big bucket tipped over his head by my 14-year-olds, so I guess it was my turn.”
She nominated Orange Region Vignerons Association president David Crawley, president of FOOD Week James Sweetapple and Taste Orange’s marketing manager Charlotte Gundry.
Her challenger Mr Gee helped Taste Orange’s finance and administration manager Clarissa Lark and Ms Gundry tip ice and water on Ms Sear, and he said he chose Ms Sear because he knew she would rise to the challenge.
“It is raising awareness for a good cause, and it’s been a widely successful campaign,” he said.
