Despite the lack of rainfall last month, Orange residents can expect patchy rainfall today, with a maximum temperature of 16 degrees the only indication spring is here.
Weatherzone meteorologist Guy Dixon said the temperature over the next fortnight should remain stable.
“The temperatures are now starting to trend warmer and will sit at around 16 degrees,” he said.
“[However] there will be a cold front coming over inland parts of NSW on Monday with many parts of NSW experiencing showers.”
Mr Dixon said Orange residents could expect around five millimetres of rain this afternoon.
“There may also be storms and showers on Tuesday with rainfall of between five and 10 millimetres,” he said.
Orange recorded 71.4 millimetres of rainfall in July, down from an of average of 89.5 millimetres, while June’s rainfall exceeded the joint tally for August and July with 123.8 millimetres recorded, well above the monthly average of 72.1 millimetres.
